re-doing paperwork?
Wondering if this has happened to anyone...
The agency (not our adoption agency) that did our homestudy's license expires a few days before our court date. I have talked to them for the last 2 months about this. I was afraid this was going to happen. They said they do not know when DHR is coming to renew their license. Last time the person who signs off on the license didn't get around to it until 1 1/2 months later, but they tell me this time that they will get the license the day DHR comes in to relicense them. What if they don't? I want to know when they are coming and when I can have a piece of paper in my hand. Do any of you have any ideas of what I could do to get this facilitated? I had thought about calling the State DHR Commissioner, but I don't know if it would do any good. Christine |

This happened to us. But the agency took care of it quickly. Our dossier was on the right desk in Russia and they saw the red flag of the homestudy agency license expiring that day! They wouldn't sign off until we got the new license to them (notarized and appostilled of course). Hang in there. The paperwork will constantly need to be "fresh". Your agency should be accommodating.
