Insights into regions

Our dossier is approved and ready to send to Russia. Our coordinators work in several regions- Vladivostok, Ekaterinburg and Kostroma. Each seem to have there advantages and disadvantages. Does anyone have experence or insights with an adoption from one of these regions?

Region?

I do not have experience in any of the regions, we are too new into the process. I have friends who have children from Vladovostok, they are absolutely beautiful. They would go back to that region everytime.

We have gone to Stavropol, but Vladivostok was the region that our agency first sent our dossier to. We were not concerned about the region, a child was available in Stavropol and we accepted.
We do not have any experience with Vladivostok, but we have spoken with a few couples that adopted from that region. They were pleased with the region and stated the children were beautiful.

We adopted from Ekaterinburg. Outside of the somewhat-longer wait between trips (we and others waited 5-6 weeks between) we absolutely enjoyed the region. Ekat. is the 3rd or 4th largest city in Russia (depending on where you read) and it has a rich history, which interested us.

The babies I saw were all just slightly low in terms of size and weight. Nothing extraordinary like others have posted.

We also liked Ekat. based on the fact that many restaurants had English-printed menus. A Godsend!
