Just trying to get a feel for where folks in our area might be. We're in Shreveport, LA and work with an agency in Memphis, TENN. We are currently waiting to travel on our second trip for our second adoption. Anybody from around these parts?

We are from DFW, TX, and just finished our Home Study Visit. Now we are waiting for the report etc. etc.

Nesbit, MS, right over the TN/MS borders, just outside of Memphis. We brought home a 10 month old boy and a 2 yr 10 month old girl 9 months ago, July of '03. Have had our 1st post-placement. Both kids adjusted well and doing great.

I'm not living in these areas now (I live in Los Angeles), but I was born and raised in Arkansas, and lived in Memphis for 12 years before moving here. I really miss it there, and am happy to see so many fellow southerners in the crowd. Good luck to all of you!

Frisco, TX which is fast growing suburb of Dallas. My wife's family is from Memphis, we we have something in common. Our homestudy visit is this Saturday.

We are in Memphis. Originally from St. Louis, but have been here for almost 4 years. We are early in the process. We have our first Homestudy appointment next Friday. We are not looking to travel until Nov/Dec, so it is going to be a very long summer!!!

We are in East Texas...45 miles West of Shreveport. We will be having our home study April 30!! Adopting a one to three year old little boy from Russia.

College Station, TX here! Whoop! My husband and I are transplants to the university from the Boston area. We adopted two children (a boy and a girl) last year from Chelyabinsk Russia and are having a great time with them.

We are in Rockwall, TX-- 30miles east of Dallas. We are adopting an 8 year old girl, and are using an agency based out of Portland. Still waiting for our second trip !!
