OK, news but a bit disappointing. Our wait to travel is epected to be 3-6 months. UGH!! We will be travelling blindly, so no referral to keep us placated. I was expecting 2-3 months, which is quite a bit different of course. Although this news is unpleasant, our agency is wonderful and very supportive. I would much rather know up front then be waiting daily for the phone...like last time.

Hearing about all of your beautiful kids coming home these days is very helpful!!!!

Hang in there! That just means you have alittle more time to get ready that's all! Also it means that your child isn't ready to leave Russia yet either! It will happen...you just have to believe and you will achieve!

They did say THREE-6 months. Doesn't mean it will be 6 months. Could be 3. God will let you know when everything is in place. Until then, stay busy, it makes the time pass more quickly.

You have such a great attitude about the wait. I'm sure having a supportive agency helps. But just think about the great reward you will have in the end...well worth waiting for!

Like I always say (although lately I've been choking on it) if time is the only thing between you and your goal, you're okay, because time always passes, whether you want it to or not.

As for not having a referral, sometimes I think it might be better that way. I guess the grass is always greener!

Spend lots of time with the family you have already, and it will happen when the time is right.

Sorry to hear about the longer timeframe...but remember that you will get your child when the time is right! Easier said than done.....

Just to give you a little bit of hope...

We are also traveling blind. Our agency told us 4-6 months for a referral, and we got our travel dates one month after our paperwork was sent to Russia. I'm not saying this is the norm or anything, but I did want to let you know it could happen!
