We are currently at day 141 since our dossier has been in Russia for a little girl from Vladivostok -- our agency says we are next on the list for a little girl!
Who is next?

We are waiting but cant travel til sept due to my new job.....would probably travel a lot quicker if it were not for that.....we are waiting for an infant boy

Done!!!
It took us 13months from the start until we finalized our adoption in December. Now we have three children we are a home that is communicating well in our newly forming Rusklish/Engluski language.

Hi Everyone!
This has been one heck of a busy week for us! We applied for passports last Saturyda, applied to the agency on Monday, on Tuesday we had our first homestudy visit, on Wednesday we went to INS and filled out the paperwork and got Fingerprinted, tomorrow we do the sherriff's clearance at the courthouse and Monday is our final homestudy visit! We are hoping for a little boy 9-24 months from Saratov region. They said our paperwork was very thorough and quick (our first call to our agency was Monday, March 1st to even inquire about adopting in Russia Now I guess we hurry up and wait! Alli and Lee

Congrats to you, chuck!!
We just finished up our home study visits and are waiting on the report to be completed (another 3-4 weeks). We have all the paperwork just waiting for notary and apostilling as soon as we get the report.
Wow, Alli and Lee! That's probably the fastest turn around of paperwork I've ever seen. It's taken us a month just to get the home study agency to come out, and we were very quick with our paperwork. Mommy and Family, I keep telling myself that patience is a virtue, but I must admit I have very little of it.  Hang in there!

Timeline
we had our homestudy on February 18th and only just got back the certified copy this morning through FED EX. I ran out and got our dossier apostilled today and we are driving from Chicago to Cleveland tomorrow to drop off our dossier live with our agency.
Alli - I can't imagine how quickly you got through this!!! Good for you! It's all hurry up and wait on my end! Just hoping to get in line for a referral soon!! I'd fly my dossier to Russia myself if I thought I could cut through some of this red tape! Christina

We returned home 10 days ago with our baby boy, Christopher. He just turned 9 months. We adopted through CSS from Kaluga. The entire process took only 4 months since we already had INS approval when we signed with the agency. It also was very quick because we were open to gender.

Hi everyone!! We are, as of TODAY, paper ready. Our agency hopes to have everything in Moscow in the next 2-3 weeks, and then it's time for, Tick, Tock. That was the hardest for me last time. I am hoping (but not realistic) that it will go easier with Jordan here already.

lost in paper work land.. waiting on completed home study paperwork only. need to redo few pieces of dossier paper work. getting a little disgruntled with the paperwork, and the way it has to be!!!!!
congrats to everyone done with their dossier!!!! congrats to everyone with their referal, ring phone ring until referal and congrats to everyone that has completed the journey. thank you all for sharing experiences.

I landed on US soil 5 months ago yesterday with my 2 year old daughter. First postplacement report was received today. 3 more to go.
