The benefit amount is @ $2,000 for active duty military. I'm a guardsman and couldn't take the benefit. Since I didn't qualify, I really didn't research where to begin. Sorry.

adoption benefit $$
We adopted (Ukraine) about 14 months ago, unfortunately my husband retired (20 years - USMC) 3 weeks before our adoption finalized so we lost out on the benefit. My husband recommends going to your "admin guy" he should be able to find the form ( I think it is only one page...we threw it away, in frustation after finding out that we would not be eligible.)

Hope you have better luck. (two grand is a nice bit of change....
