Hi everyone,

We are leaving for our second trip October 8th! We will probably be in Russia for 10 days. I am feeling much better now but will definitely bring my Cipro!

That is our date as of now from our agency. It is not confirmed, but looks good.

We can't wait to go and get our little girl! We are pretty nervous about the court proceedings though.

I'm keeping busy with shopping for our new daughter and getting in all the things that will be on hold for a while after we come home, like movies.

Best to all of you wherever you are in the process. It is a journey of a lifetime!

Since you were sick and only there for a short time the first trip, you probably didn't get a chance to go shopping there. Will you be able to shop this trip?

Thanks for sharing in our excitement!

We were able to do some shopping on the first trip....we bought some Matryoshka dolls, laquer boxes, a flask, and some vodka. We will probably buy more on the second trip. We are leaving a day earlier than we need to in order to do some shopping and sightseeing in Moscow.

I'm not sure if Anastasia understands what's going on. We left a little photo album of our home and family for her. The orphanage director said she would go over it with her between trips. I labeled all the pictures in Cyrillic, so she could do this. I hope it helps her to understand.

That is sooo wonderful...and not too far away!
Don't be too nervous about court. We had one of the worst court appearences our agency ever had...over 3 hours in court with some off the wall questions. It wasn't as bad as it sounds....the judge was new and had just gotten our case from another judge who had a family emergency. And in the end, it didn't matter because we got our precious daughter.

Wow! Things are moving along so fast now! We are sending in our dossier materials to the agency today and hope to be on the waiting list soon. I can not wait! We are so busy getting everything ready that it will help me get my mind off of the wait. We are waiting for a referral for both a boy and girl. Congratulations and please fill us in on your experience!

But you have already waited far too long. Its only right that things should move quickly for you now.

I only have had to wait two weeks in between trips. I leave next Sunday the 5th for trip 2. Things are progressing well. Keeping my fingers crossed and my prayers going.

Im kidding of course. I realize that you dont want the grand tour of the Russian prison system. Im just getting sick of the wait.
