Hi everyone,

We're back from our first trip to see our little girl! She was everything we had hoped for.

It was so exciting to finally meet her....I just wish we got to spend more time with her.

Now we can't wait to go back and finalize the adoption, which will be in October.

The trip was only 4 days long and a whirlwind of travel. I got sick and just hope it's just a temporary thing and not a parasite. I am taking Cipro which seems to be working at the moment.

To all of you waiting....it does happen. It took us 2 years to get to this point!

Congrat's! It must have been an amazing moment when you saw your little one for the first time in person. I am just in the begining of this process (homestudy still) but Russia is one of the countries we are thinking of. Can you tell me why it took so long for you?

Congrats on your trip...she will be home before you know it. Please tell us what you did, how was the food, etc. I cant remember also what agency you are with...and how did they do????? I went to EAC meeting this morning and I am so excited@@@

Sorry you got sick. You will have stories to tell your daughter about how much you endured to bring her home.
I expect to be sick when I travel as well. I have bad allergies and cannot tolerate any smoke, cigarette or otherwise.
I hope the Cipro works for you. Drink lots of fluids you need your strength back for your next trip

welcome home....boy didnt that week go fast. we rec'd a tentative travel date of 10/15 for our first trip to samara, russia...hope to have confirmed this week. keep in touch and hope you feel better
