A Thought! Looking for Feedback
I have somewhat of a "silly question" for you all. I keep reading comments about how Orphanages in ____ region (fill in the blank) are bad, that they have little to no clothes and food and and and and. and then I hear ohh yeah, adopt from this orphanage they are so much better they have so much stufff... HELLO???? What am I missing. Not only are we here wanting to adopt a child, but we are wanting to give them a better life. Wouldn't it make more sense to look at the orphanages that have less and need more FIRST? I mean lets face it the stats say there are 650,000 children in Russia who will never be adopted... We all know we can't save the world that we are just saving one life. For me... in my thought process, if I'm gonna have to "leave children behind to be a statistic" (cause I don't know about you but I don't have that big of a house) wouldn't it make sense to leave the ones that are in the good orphanages with better schooling and food and and and, instead of leaving the ones who have "nothing" who may never see thier next birthday because people we too caught up in the way they "had been raised" to see beyond what you are "saving them from" to what a life you can give them?
This has nothing to do with aids or hiv or TB or psyphlis (sp) etc etc. Clothing and food and learning and all that stuff may come a little slower for a while but we all know these children have as much of a chance of being a loving child (if not more, because they will appreciate it more)
So... with that all being said... DUCK!!! lol
