Will Romania ever re open for international adoption again?
Can a member from an EU member state still adopt?

According to the U.S. State Department, Romanian law continues to prohibit all international adoption, whether by EU residents or non-EU residents, except in the case of a child whose close relative (defined as grandparent, aunt, or uncle) lives abroad and wishes to adopt him/her.
