after 50 years met my birth mom
Wow, where does one start...I feel like telling the whole world but not sure where to start or even what to say. After 50 years I called my birthmother and we talked on the phone for about 45 minutes (44 minutes and 51 seconds to be exact). I was so nervous I can hardly remember what we talked about. I was so relieved to know that she was happy to hear from me. Two months later my wife and I flew up to met her and her husband. We left on a Thursday and returned that Sunday. What a wonderful four days it turned out to be. My brother and his wife came up on Saturday and we all spent the day together talking and looking at pictures. It was so nice meet someone and see pictures of people who you look like. Yesterday, for the first time, I was able to call my birthmom and wish her a Happy Thanksgiving.

After 50 years...
Congratulations, Bobby!
I'm so happy that you and your bmom found each other! What a lovely thing to be thankful for this weekend. Feel free to come here if you have any questions or concerns about any of it. I'm the host here... a birthmom and adoptive mom, as you can see by my bio. I hope it all goes well and give her my best, too! Linda www.visi.com/~lbmckay |
