Should I contact my brother

I have since discovered that I have a brother 5 years older than me. I don't know if he is aware he has a sister or not but I would would guess he is not. I have had his information for almost a year now. I have a wonderful life and great parents but I strive to know about him. Is it selfish to disrupt his life with shocking news. And how do you say to someone, I am your sister. I don't really want a reunion with my birthparents. I also don't want to make things hard for my brother. Please help!
