I talked with him for the first time!!! Yippee!! He called last wk! We spoke for about an hour. HE LAUGHS!! O, to say I am thrilled is THE understatement. We have a visit planned!! sigh. Oh my gosh I've been bursting to get to this site and tell you all, I've been jumping up and down, and of course gone through other emotions.... He was respectful, and expressive..we have some similar interests. We planned our upcoming visit with care for eachother and HE'S COMING TO VISIT!!
Dispite my many explanation points here I remain sensible, and vigilent to the cycles of all of this, but I wanted so much to get here and SHARE my excitement with other bmoms here, because you know the feeling in my heart, of bursting with so much love and happiness. I wish this for every bmother!

Thank you both very much. We spoke again last nt, he called. This time was briefer because truthfully I got shy and "tongue tied". All of the sudden I was so nervous, and talking on the phone is not something I ever am great at. I'll have to do better because we live in separate states. But he seems "chatty" einough! I hope I didn't weird him out. What I've read suddenly came clear "you know him/her but you don't". That's exactly how it felt. Uh!

I haven't heard my bson's voice yet...our first email contact was the end of January, and he said in an email that he's not much of a phone person (he's 36 y/o, and prefers emails or in-person visits).

I was wondering, how long were you in contact before you got THE phone call and heard his voice for the first time? When is your F2F?

I so much want to hear his voice, but on the other hand I'm not sure I'd be able to even speak if he actually called...ugh.

I call still hear my dd tiny voice the first time she called me..I dropped the phone as she said my name..We had made plans to chat on line at a certain time. Right when we were to be logging on to AOl my phone rang..Odd number on caller ID. I almost stop breathing. She is amazing and I am going to meet her in june..I live in oregon she is Ny. Now we talk all the time..She is so wonderful. Please keep us posted. Good luck to you.

Thank you all, lovely BMOTHERS, for sharing this with me. To answer your Q Susan, my son and I have been corresponding for about 2 yrs. and just spoke for the first time. After he gave his mail address, I gave mine and my #, and he had that for about a yr. before he decided to use it and call me. We'd been writing letters.
We shall see what happens next. F2F scheduled middle of Summer My job is to not have expectation, not project, blabla bla, but you can bet I'm also jumping up and down! I still feel like I'm walking on egg shells, though, like I don't want to freak him out or anything. But I want to be honest about who I am, cuz if he can't deal with me, then he can't.
