Adult Step-Child Adoption
Dear Sue,
I think adopting your adult stepson sounds like a wonderful idea. It should certainly be a powerful way to show how much you love him and to assure him that he is a permanent member of your family. Adult adoption is outside my area of expertise, but, as far as I know, it is usually a pretty simple process. As with other stepparent adoptions, an adoption attorney can probably complete all the legal requirements for you.
