questions about open adoption

Hi, I am doing a paper for school on open adoption vs. closed adoption. I need to present the pro's and cons of both sides, so if anyone would be willing to answer some of my questions I would be very grateful. Breifly, I would like to know what the benefits are of open adoption, and what the risks are...for everyone involved. If you would be willing to answer these, and some more of my questions, you can reach me at Willow2687@aol.com. Thank you very much for your help.

Open Adoption Questions

My name is Laura DeShano and I'm taking a psychology course at the University of Puget Sound. The project I'm currently working on is called Game Of Life. I've been given a "lot in life" where my hypothetical husband and I are trying to find out if an open adoption is right for us. I unfortunately do not know a lot about adoption, and was hoping someone in the field could contact me and answer my questions. Any response would be incredibly helpful. Thanks. ~Laura
