We're talking about and looking into starting a chat night for those involved in open adoption. This involves all in the triad involved in an open adoption: birth parents, adoptive parents, adoptees who are of age to use this site and other extended family members. Also invited are those considering openness in future adoptions or current ones but don't actually have experience in the wide realm of openness.

Semi-open, open and wishing/willing to be open are all welcome. With that, obviously, opinions will vary as it is a very wide topic with many different ways to handle the issue. Respect, of course, is a must.

THAT said, we need an idea for a day and a time. Right now, we'd like to avoid 10pm on Wednesdays.

If you are interested in chatting about open adoption, please comment on this thread (click the link) with a day and time that is best suited to your schedule. We can't guarantee that it will be at YOUR desired time but we'll attempt to find something that works for a majority of people. (Please make all suggestions on the linked thread so that we can keep them in one place! Thank you!)

Open Adoption chat will be on Tuesday evenings at 10pm EST (9pm CST, 8pm MST, 7pm PST). We will meet in the OPEN ADOPTION CHAT ROOM. To get to chat, click CHAT on the navigation bar on top of the forums here. To get to the OPEN ADOPTION chat room, select it from the pull down menu once you are in chat and then click "go."
