Talking Looking to adopt Mother In Laws Unborn Child

Hi all, new to the forum, residing in Ohio. Im 25 and my partner is 26. We were married in Feb of 2008. Ok, now thats out of the way lol. My mother in law has a 2 year old child and a 4 month old child and just recently found out that she is about 3 months pregnant or so. Well, my partner and I have been trying unsuccessfully for a year to have a child, so, my mother in law and father in law came up with the idea of 'giving' us their child once it is born. They are unable to care for another child. My father in law is in his early fifties and they just can't financially provide for the child anyway. My partner and I have agreed that it is a great idea and feel as if God has blessed us with this opportunity. I am unsure how to go about it though. Anyone know the costs? I heard they are minimal considering it is a kinship adoption or whatever it is called, but Im not sure. What would be the first step? We already all sat down and discussed things such as the childs future, and how the birth parents actually felt about it emotionally as well.
Thank you for all your help in advance,
Dee
P.S. I love all these smileys lol

I believe you need to speak to an attorney. Get one who specializes in adoption. Not all attorney's are well versed in adoption laws.
