It's OVER!!!
Hello,
My husband and I have had custody of my distant cousin for 5 1/2 years. It took us over a year to get custody between 2-states, a battle with a contested adoption, living heck from the biological mom, and finally.... we went to court this morning and we finalized. The judge signed and we finally made it to the other side. WE HAVE A SON, OFFICIALLY!!! I just wanted everyone to know that sometimes things don't always work out the first time, but it can still happen. Mom2J

Thank you all so much. It's such a blessing to finally have this in the past. It is still a shock, but a wonderful one.
Today, our son woke up and told us that he knows what he's going to be when he grows up.... He's going to be Mr. "______" (Our last name.) It was just the sweetest thing. Mom2J
