Red face grandma of 3

I'am a grandmother of 10, 6 grandaughters, and 4 grandson's.. My oldest grandson who is now 10,years old has lived with me since he was born.he is from my son.His mother still comes to visit him once in awhile. My son, also does, but he continue's to want to stay with me. we love him very much.He is autistic, and attends a special day class at school.I also, have guardianship of to other of my grandchildern.. my grandaughter 4years old,and my grandson who is 5years old who is from my youngest daughter. She did live with us, but has been out of our home for the past year. We are in the process of court procedings with the two younger ones.My daughter want's to terminate the gaurdianship, and we have contested. There are many reason's that we have had to contest her request. I't has been very stressfull for everyone. You see you love your childern, but your grandchildern is a very SPECIAL kind of love...and we want to keep them safe, happy and most opf all loved.....

Whatta loving post.
I've got 3 girls with me for a few weeks while DHS decides if they should send them home to Grandma or let bmom have them back. I doubt I was suppose to do it, but I let them call Grandma tonight. She hasn't seen or talk to them in a month since mom and boyfriend left the state and was so happy to talk to them and prays DHS releases them soon. She said the same thing you did; her daughter made mistakes and she loves her but her grand girls are VERY special, very LOVED, and very very very missed.

It's a really touching thing you wrote; I think us foster parents get swept up in the idea sometimes that children are "unwanted" by bio family. Thank you for the kind reminder.
