Many adoptees have some sort of trust, abandonment and fear of rejection issues.

I did not find out I was adopted until I was 35. I am sorting through my past relationships trying to see where I had issues that I mentioned above.

I can tell you that I had issues with males because of the fact my afather died when I was three. I had a hard time accepting new men mom would be with in a relationship. Once I did, later on they broke up or the men died. Which left me feeling abandoned and clingy to boyfriends back then. That did not help when my first husband left me 4 months after we were married. I could not get over he walked away from me.

For those of you who did not find out you were adopted until much later in life (like after 18 years old)... Do you see issues that arose in your relationships before you turned 21?
