Can you guys believe this obituary??

I happened to spot this obit in the Memphis paper today

Current and Local and Breaking News for Memphis, DeSoto, Germantown, Bartlett, Millington and the surrounding area : Memphis Commercial Appeal

I'm in shock.

Ida Mae sounds like she had quite a life. I hope that she was able to meet and have a relationship with her mother, as it sounds like Ida Mae knew her original identity.

Yeah well, Albert kind of got thrown under the bus...

It sounds like Ida was quite the character and would have loved that write up.

Hahahahaha! It's fantastic! I love it!

I've done my own obit and I wonder if she did hers? While mine is not near as witty - it certainly makes similar jabs

Wow now that person can write. I found it very humerous yet a little sad.

What did Albert do wrong?

I thought Ida was in love with Albert!

he must have done something to tick her off, seeing that he and his MOTHER ended up in a much warmer climate.

ROFL!

different

This was certainly the most personal and lengthy obituary Ive seen. I dont know if that is typical of that newspaper, or the Memphis area. Here In New Jersey you never see an obituary that lengthy or personal. I dont think the newspapers even have that kind of space for such long winded obituaries.

In our area you pay by the word... if you have the money you can say as much as you want. I must admit, it gave me a good laugh!
