what state are you searching in please? it appears to me that if you want to search, and are 30 then the search must go on without the help of your adoptive parents. They can choose too help or not to, the search is possible without their help.
its your choice, not theirs. Your search doesn't involve them, it could, but if they're rejecting the idea, move on and continue with the search without them.

we are in illlinois. we went on with the search and have done great so far, we found dcfs files on him and so therefore midwest adoption agency is helping us track down his mom at no cost. they have sent out 2 letters and they have came back so it is just a matter of time, of them find the correct address for her. thanks
