un-info all blacked out, its a shame

I got my un-info today and almost all of it was blacked out, they blacked out all first and last names and locations and birth dates of parents everything. 3 pages of almost all black outs with a magic marker. It makes me mad that the people sitting there behind the desk know what you are trying to find out and will not tell you a thing. I bet they know who their parents are. they don't care. its all a money game to them. I had to pay $100.00 for the 3 page info, if you want to call it that and didn't learn a thing but alot of small things different that I had always thought to be something eles. like partly wrong info here, just like I suspected it would be. then the lady tells me that if I want the identifying info it will be $250.00 for that and that is not refondable if parents can't be found or if they don't want me to know the info about them or myself. it is all ashame here. this is something all people should know. we are like a puzzel with the peices missing. Don't know how or what to do now, they even had my name blacked out on the info sheet. you know they could at least leave first names all on there. what would that hurt. Thanks for listening.

I agree. It is so frustrating. When I received my non ID I spent days and days trying to figure out what was under the blackened areas. Flashlight magnifying glass etc.
Almost wanted to call CSI to see if they had any ideas.
That is really a shame that they want so much $ for something that I feel all of us have the right to know. Were there any "clues" at all in the non ID?

Wow. I had all my info in my parents filing cabnet. All i had to do was ask to see it one day. It only had my mothers side, the fathers side was empty. I can't begin to imagine the frustration and pain you are in. I give you my sympathies and my support. In my search to find them i came across a place called US search online. There should be a spot to post your info just incase they are looking for you.Best of luck, and you are in my prayers.
