In most states in the US
adoptees are denied the right to know their origins.
Adult adoptees have to go to a judge and fight for their original birth certificates. The adoptee has to convince the judge (an unrelated third party in authority) that there is cause to unseal her records. No other group in America is so treated.

Help to Open the Records in NY and enact an adoptees' bill of rights in New York state

To be denied the knowledge of one's origins by an accident of birth is unconstitutional. Plese help to change the law in NY
