Anyone heard of this book?
Has anyone read the book How Micah Helped Build A Family by Deirdre Goldsmith? Just curious...I heard it was a good children's book about a child's journey from bioparents to foster parents to adoptive parents.

How Micah Helped Build A Family
I have indeed heard, read, and enjoyed How Micah Helped Build A Family by Deirdre Goldsmith. (To be quite honest, I actually illustrated it...) It is a very charming and understanding story for young children going through adoption. The story is itself simple but manages to deal with complex emotions and situations that these children go through with a lot of heart and optimism. I would recommend this short book to adoptive parents looking for a way to perhaps broach the subject with very young children as a way to both help and relate to them.
I hope that helps. |
