How quick they grow up(and want to be grown up)....but how cute! Well our vegetable garden is planted (a little early) but atleast its done. Tomorrow we clean out the flower beds and plant the pots on our porch.

You want to come weed and plant in my yard?
![]() Wow, down a chair in a slide. I can see both of my boys doing that. They are both dare devils, although the youngest is much more so. I almost cried filling out the paperwork for little J to go to K. It's just weird. he's just a baby. He's 4 and won't even be 5 until Sept 6. The cut off date here is later than in TX, but his Preschool teacher assures me he's ready. He may be, BUT I'M NOT!we're pretty busy between soccer and baseball. We told big J next Spring he can only choose ONE of those, and he can play the other in the fall (for some reason they have baseball in the fall here, too). Little J is looking forward to being old enough to play soccer in the fall. He practices with Big J's team (daddy's the coach). I won't have to buy too many school uniforms because my 7 yr old and my 4 yr old wear the same size now. Big J is definitely not short at all, but Little J is just very very very tall! I hope you enjoyed your weekend. I spent it all day between two ball fields and then an outside birthday party. I now look like a lobster and I imagine I may feel like they do when they're boiling! (except I'm baked) |

Happy May, everyone!
Hi friends. I'm still here. I just put my 3.5 yr old down for a nap. He had his tonsils removed today, which is why I've been distracted from these forums. He was a SWEETHEART at the hospital. All the nurses couldn't believe how well he was behaving ("Not at all like a tonsils kid", one said to me). Of course it wasn't so rosy when we got home and he found out he couldn't eat Chex mix or fruit snacks or go outside and dig for worms. Should be a "fun" afternoon. I'm hoping he's out for a while, and I intend to be more communicative soon. Miss you all!
Donna

So, my youngest son eats mud and my oldest son eats worms. Any suggestions? They both say they taste good although my oldest says a worm is good, "as long as you don't bite it."

Hmmm. If it were me I would probably try to sneak some veggies in there somehow. Maybe shred some carrot into the mud in the morning? And the worms could be wrapped in slightly steamed spinach maybe?
I feel for you. That would pretty much gross me out. My older son eats a little bit of sand. Just a little so I just make an attempt to stop him but don't worry about it too much when he manages to swallow some. But it seems like I've heard stuff like that can be a sign of some vitamin deficiency? Anyway, I'm really no help I know. Just wanted to sympathize!! ![]()

my someone.....I hope he is feeling better?!! It is never fun to have our little ones not feeling so good.
Bajj......eating worms.....hmmmmm....I hear they are great in cookies. Have you tried to suggest that he could collect worms and make them into cookies? Mudd.....well haven't we all had our share of mud pies as kids? I just think it is all normal for kids as gross as it is.....lol

Yes, I was told that worms are actually healthy. My boys do eat veggies (now) because I just kept serving them and not making a big deal. They just knew no snacks or no dessert (which we rarely have) if they didn't eat at least some of everything that was on their plate.
So, how are everyone else's boys? |

We are well...anxiously awaiting the end of the school year.
We just received a letter from AJ's teacher - after 20 years, she is leaving the school to teach at another...This is a tough day in our household...Our school is like family - and it is hard when someone leaves. My little guy doesn't believe it and keeps saying "She's coming back...I KNOW she's coming back." Tears are a-fallin... |

That's kind of funny along with being very gross... good luck with that (worms and mud pies.)
I just wanted to jump in here because I was hoping to get another girl and instead I got the newborn baby boy. Well. He is completely precious! My boy is 4 months and he loves to have mamma hold him and he has the most ridiculous cute laugh I've ever heard. It's more like a yell. And he stares up at me with his cute big eyes... I'm completely in love with the boy!! |

Ocean - It only gets better! With both boys and girls.
![]() My boys are both brilliant. They are both really starting to talk a lot lately. So hilarious. Older DS will tell me "be right back!" when he goes upstairs to get his blankie (I say that to him all the time ). And he wants to show me everything. "Mama, look see!", "oh WOW look!". Adorable. Just so adorable. My younger son mimics EVERYTHING my daughter does and says. He cracks me up.

lovemy2boys.....so sorry about loosing a favorite teacher.
I cannot believe you guys are done with school! We still have another 14 days and then are back to school August 10. Little M finished preschool this week and he promised that he would send emails to his teachers. Uhmmmm.....he doesn't know how to send email. We will continue to see them at church so he can keep them updated by word of mouth....lol oceanica......congrats on your second child! Can't wait to hear more. Of course we here think that boys rock! Well I am currently baking a birthday cake that will once again be a lego brick shaped cake for big M. His birthday is tomorrow. He will be 9. I am still having trouble. He never stops eating and never stops growing. I am tall but he is to my shoulders already. Where did the years go....my baby is a big boy and I am now looking towards teenage years... . Couldn't we keep them at a certain age? I know there is no perfect age but if there was one what would it be? For big M.....I would have to say 3 or 5. They were great years for him and me....lolYou all have a great and safe weekend holiday. Michelle
