Awww, I just love it when the men get excited with our boys, you know? I mean, my dh is an awesome dad, but it still just sparks something special in me when I see him all excited about something like that. I look forward to the pictures!

Just dropping in..haven't posted in a while...

But we have an official finalization date for B&D....November 16, 2007. It is the day my county will celebrate National Adoption Day and I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!! We could have done it earlier, but I wanted it to be on that date because it holds a lot of significance for me already.

Nov. 16, is my best friend's (and probably the man I'll end up marrying) birthday and it's the 1 year anniversary on the job that allowed me to FINALLY be able to afford to adopt in the first place.

A 20 yr dream of mine will come true in 19 days..YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still here too! Just trying to "keep my head above water" on a daily basis. Thankfully, fall baseball is over so that frees up my weekends a little. But my freelance work has picked up so I'm busy with that instead.

Believe it or not, girls, our mantis is STILL alive! Since everything outside died in the frost, he's had to settle for store bought crickets for every meal. We go and get 6 for 60¢ at the local pet store, bring them home, dump them in his aquarium and yell "dinner time". Who in a million years would predict that this would be part of my routine!?!?? Not me!

Great news, Farah! Those are two lucky young 'uns, having a mom who has wanted to be a mom for so long.

Glad everyone else is doing well. I'll post Halloween pics on Thursday or Friday. If I can get them to stand still long enough for a photo!

Donna

Great to hear from you, Donna. JD has one more soccer game and then we're done with soccer until the Spring, so that's a relief!

Hi,
Ani, this is going back a few posts...I'm kinda slow these days! I keep forgetting to come over and read this thread, but I love it. Especially now that my boy is becoming a toddler, 14 months and all "big boy". Anyway, yeah, my DH is such an awesome Dad, too. I tend to brag about him as much as DS, but it melts my heart too, everytime he does something special for DS.

I haven't posted alot over here, but I am an official "climbin', runnin', jumpin', diggin', mischeivous, busy Boy Mom"! And we are officially as of Thursday waiting for #2! Part of me kinda hopes it takes a little while cause DS is just soooo much fun right now, and part of me can't wait!

Here's a couple pic of the little Monkey at Halloween! First holloween wipe out and didn't spill any candy.

Just wanted to stop by and say hi! Haven't seen any of you guys for a while.

Donna how is the mantis doing? Still buying bugs?

We had a family emergency and then a death in my family. We did alot of driving and I have to say how proud I am of the boys. They were allowed a bag or backpack and had to choose the toys, books, paper, and crayons/markers. They both did a great job at picking the toys that would keep them busy in the car and the hotel.

Big M of course brought lots of paper to color. He is big on drawing comics and I must say he is very good. He breaks it down into little boxes and has quite a story going. Little M brought a few legos but mostly action figures. He loves to play with his superman, spiderman, the hulk, power rangers and a few other action figures. He will spend hours with his superheros.

Our car also has a dvd player and it will keep the boys occupied for quite awhile too. Dh has head sets for them to listen to the movie as they watch and then I can listen to the radio if I am driving. Dh will watch a movie he wants on his laptop. So traveling is really quite comfortable for us all....lol

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
