Update.....

Well, as you all read in my previous post, D started in his underwear yesterday all day for the first time. I am happy to report that his teacher at daycare says he had two, count them TWO, minor accidents in his pants. By minor she meant that he probably laughed to hard (or in his case, coughed.......he's got a cold). Not actual accidents like he just didn't go in time. My little boy is growing up!!! The teacher tells me this and like a big baby, the tears start streaming!!! LOL! I'm a nut!
Last night, I went to put him in a pull-up for bedtime and he threw a fit and ranted about how he's a big boy and wears underwear and not pull-ups. A far cry from yesterday morning. Day number two has begun, and we didn't start it off with an accident. We'll see how he does today and I'll report back!!!! YEAH TO MY LITTLE BIG BOY!!!

I cry at the most inopportune times! I have a friend who said she cries at every single parent/teacher conference for all of her kids. She doesn't know why, she just does. She said she now tells the teacher, "I will cry, so please don't get offended."

Keep up the good work, D!

Congrats Mr. D!!! We have an officially POTTY TRAINED 3 year old. (Well pull-ups at night just in case). All week he has managed to stay dry, no accidents at school!! He runs up to me when I pick him up to update me........"Mommy, none akidents day!!!" As he holds up his pudgy lil fist!!! Then he slaps me a high-five. He's too funny and too cute. Surprisingly enough, it worked a LOT quicker than I anticipated! I guess he was ready!

Wooo Hoooo!

My little man asked me last night, "We we have diaper basket? I don't wear diapers." Good point, JM. LOL. Mommy will be getting rid of the diapers now, taking them up to the church building for use their.

I know you're thrilled! It's nice when they're big boys, but then, sad too, isn't it?

Isn't it so exciting when our boys are potty trained and they realize how they are growing up to be big boys? Makes me sad but happy at the same time.

I haven't bragged on my boys in awhile, so I'm going to!

On Sunday, we were at a nursing home visiting some people from our church (dh was taking them communion). Anyway, dh had never let the boys go in with him because the ladies are "too sick for kids to visit." This Sunday, he decided to let them.

He said one lady, he had never seen her smile, and she smiled that day because my 2 boys just loved on her and hugged her and talked away to her.

The second lady kept going on and on about what cute kids they are. She has alzheimers so I was a bit worried that my boys would get confused and ask why she kept asking and saying the same thing over and over again. But, they didn't! They hugged on her, and chattered away.

It is amazing how a child can bring a smile to an elderly person's face. I have decided to take them visiting more often. It will be good for them, and for the elderly people they are visiting.

Ani that is so sweet.

When dh's grandmother was in the nursing home we would visit her atleast 2 times a week and our kids always brought smiles to all the people and they would gravitate to grandmas room while we were there so they could chat with the kids.

We had trunk or treat at church tonight, and then a birthday party (dress up party) afterwards at a friend's house. I am going to try and post my pirate and clown. My sil made the pirate costume and it is awesome! Someone thought we had gone to the disney store and spent $80-$100 on it. Nope, sil made it all, except the hat and the banadana with the hair piece. Little man wanted to be a clown and he liked that costume, so she didn't make him one. He was such a cute clown! It is SO HARD to keep a 3 year old from touching his face when it's painted!!!

OK, here's my attempt to upload a pic.

OK, that's not a good pic of the pirate costume. I will try to post better pics later of both boys.

LOL! Thanks Christmas! Clown didn't get much candy, because he was a bit confused about walking around, but I saved some for him, and Pirate got soooo much, that there's plenty to go around.

Pirate was so creative this year. He had a shoe box that my sil painted as a treasure chest for his bday (we had a treasure hunt) and he decided to carry that instead of a pumpkin for his candy! It was cute.

Clown, well, it suits his personality! He's always happy and always making others smile and laugh.

I'll go look for better pics now and post them.
