Maybe we need to put our 5 yr olds in a room together and say, "no broken bones allowed" and shut the door. Maybe they'll get it out of their system?

You're going to do GREAT on your math test!

Still here, too.

Not much to report. Just finished vacuuming in prep of my parents coming over tomorrow. I can take one or the other of them alone, but together they are a disaster waiting to happen. Can two people be married for 47 years and fight over the tinest things every single time they get a chance??? Take it from me, they can.

So I hear your pain, Ani. Try not to let you MIL get to you. I sure know how hard that is!

Good weekend to all (or at least give it your best shot).

Donna

I'll have a good weekend! I can always come here and surf the forums if it gets to be too much for me. Sometimes she's on good behavior so I am praying for one of those times.

Ani Alert!

Hey everybody else,

Don't let Ani fool you. She's not entertaining her MIL this weekend. She's reading the new Harry Potter book and wants us all to leave her alone!

HA! Got ya, Ani!

LOL! I'm actually not a Harry Potter fan, but if I were, I'm sure I would be reading it. I love to read, just not that style.

How is everyone doing?

Poor JM. He was out playing today and ran in real fast yelling, "gotta go potty gotta go potty, move outta way gotta go potty." He gets in and can't get his pants undone, so I go in and I can't get them undone either. Poor baby stood there crying as he used the bathroom all over himself. I assured him it was ok and he did the right thing, his snap just got stuck. I then let dh know that he can't wear snap pants again while potty training!

I noticed, way back in the dark ages when my oldest was potty training, that they make THE cutest outfits for those potty-training-sized kids that have NO access for getting them off! They button in the back and you have to peel them off, or they have belts and snaps that all have to come off in order to go.

On the other hand...dresses were sure nice! LOL NOW you know why all those little boys at the turn of the century (and before) wore dresses until they were weaned and potty trained! LOL

Poor JM! Overalls are definitely a no, no when potty training too. LOL Barksum.

Well I had my algebra final last night.
Om my word, the language he used was different that what he'd used on all of the other tests and it sent most of us into a tizzy. He did tell us to e-mail him if we wanted our grades before they were officially posted. I was nervous, but I did, but I told him if I didn't get at least 24 points, which is what I needed for my B, I didn't want to know. Well he e-mailed me my grade, and it was an 89, so I passed the class with an A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it? Woo HOOOO Math is over and i got an A. Have a great week, I know I will, Shelley

Hooray, Shelley! We all knew you could do it! What is your next hurdle to overcome?

Re: little boys clothing and potty training. I hear you! I don't know why it is so difficult to find plain, elastic waist denim shorts for boys! Come on - do toddlers (even BEFORE they are near potty-training age) need belt loops and flys on their pants and shorts!?!?!? Why!?!?!?

Have a good day, everyone! Hang in there, JM!

WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO SHELLEY!!!!!!!

My 2 yr old is so tall he can't wear any of the toddler clothes anyway. He is now in a 5 slim pants. Around the house I do put those 24 month and 2T elastic shorts, which fit him like daisy dukes (or whatever you would call really short shorts on boys). But, around the house, it's great because he can take himself potty!

Now, if I could just get him to tell me when he has a "big" job and he's done. I can't tell you how many times he's had really messy pants and he didn't mess his pants, he just didn't bother to tell anyone he had gone and was done. He just pulls his pants up and washes his hands and runs off playing. ewwwwwwww!!!! You'd think it would bug him!

daisy dukes... hahahahahahahaha Ani, my youngest is really tall and skinny, so I can relate. He tries to wear shorts that fit his waist and they are wayyyyy too short.

Donna, how's Dessert doing? Zorac would enjoy my house, we have a ton of grasshoppers coming in lately.

How is everyone else doing? I survived the in-laws visit. I finished the boys laundry today and will do dh and mine tomorrow. I am trying to get caught up on dishes. It's amazing how fast they dirty up with 3 extra people around, and also how few people will help clean them!!!

Tonight, I go to the boys' room because there is a bunch of noise in there. I open the door to find JM on the top bunk with JD and I tell him to get down. He starts to climb down, but not down the ladder!

I am attempting a pic of their bed...well, it's exactly like their bed but this was taken from the web, not their room. You can see why climbing from foot-board to foot-board would kind of scare Mom!
