I like the hooded sweatshirt idea. Sunglasses maybe? Do you have any access to benedryl or valium (it does come ina liquid) so that you could test her reaction to see if it would ease the trip home. Is she on any meds already? The disassociative state you are talking about really sounds like absence seizures to me.

Thanks I will try some of these things. We are at a hotel that has dinner included. It seems she just can't handle the noise. She isn't disappearing but she is scared and hangs out laying on the chair singing to herself. We haven't had this issue in other restaurants so we think it is the noise. I'll try her hooded jacket tomorrow and see what happens.
She seems to be doing better as she feels safer. Now when she is scared she is cuddling and holding on tight. She'll cover her ears until she hears us say she is safe. We don't see her dissapearing as much. Thank you |
