Does anyone know of a lawyer who specialized in adoptions of Jewish babies to Jewish families in California, New York, or Florida?

I would think such an attorney would had to have been closely involved or was well known within a national Jewish religious organization. That's interesting. I myself was a private adoption and I'm amazed how well that attorney must have "networked" with counslers, churches, and OB docs the old fashioned way to facilitate adoptions.

I'm the adoptee. I'm just going on a hunch because it seems like there must have been a network of sorts. My aparents and birthmother were both Jewish and I believe the doctor who presided over my birth was as well. My mother can't remember the name of the lawyer so I'm hoping maybe someone else out there had a similar situation and can give me the name of some possible candidates who might have handled my adoption.

You're seeking the attorney for information about your birth mother I'd assume? More than likely, the attorney of record is deceased and or wouldn't devulge to you any information anyway.

Have you tried to petition the court for your adoption file?

Have you checked with the state medical board to see if any complaints were filed against doctors relating to adoptions?

I was adopted in 1982 a jewish attorney seymour fenischel from New york handled things.. he then got in alot of trouble...
