I need some encouragement!

I posted this in the Foster Care & Adoption forum, not much response. Hoping for more here!

Our family has been through so much since the first of the year:
1. we are flipping a house
2. we are trying to move to a differnt home
3. we adopted two of our children in January
4. we adopted another in March
5. bought a new 12 passenger van in March (ready for more children)
6. had two new placements (for a month) end of March into April
7. found out I have congestive heart failure in April
8. car accident with new van in May (still waiting to get it back)
9. my 4 year old had surgery June 1

Now our county is changing from a county run system to a private agency. I have never dealt with a private foster care or adoption agency. I'm not even sure what to start asking questions about.

I'm not sure if we want to jump into all the new paperwork and guidelines. We were just going to take an unannounced break from DHS until my health issue was under control, but I'm not sure if they will need us to change soon. Just so much to think about!!!

Sure could use some love and prayers!!!!!!!!!

timleenettesue; I want to encourage you to hold on with much hope while you are walking through this hard time...
a good friend recently told me she believed the Lord gives us more so we can learn to lean upon Him. (PHil. 4:13)
May you find Him to be your strength and hope for each new day... As you rely upon Him and His word today, may you find that true peace with every decision, situation, and every dream yet unfulfilled.

Thank you all sooo much for your encouragement!!! I did not realize how self motivated I had become. Things are slowly getting better now that I have turned to God instead of myself (I know better than to do things on my own).
  1. The meds are starting to work for my heart condition
  2. My son is healing from surgery
  3. We have the flip house on the market
  4. I am hoping to get my van back soon (after an additional delay of course - but that's ok).
mama_again, I have marked that scripture in my bible and plan to reread it often. It was truely something I needed to hear!
It's amazing how a few words can help you get back on the right track!!!!

Just the CHF is enough to cause stress let alone the rest of that list! Glad some of your stressers have lessened. Hope you get things back on track soon! Will certainly add you to my prayers.

So glad the word gave you that lift, it is amazing how just a verse or chapter can bring a refreshing... Be refreshed in the Lord this week, so glad things are turning around for you...
I have a short thing I wrote this week on a key to lifes situations...
God is Sovereign, He knows us all too well, and we must always remember that what God allows in our life is for our benefit and our personal growth; (look at the life of Job) all things work together for good…
Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God, that is, for those who are called according to his purpose, all things are working together for good.

Be strong in Him...

One thing is for sure...
God never leave you in burden.

Seek HIM so that you will see every rock on your path not as stumbling blocks, but as stepping stones to where God wants you to be.

"When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow,
Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit."
