How come so many view threads but not many pray online?

Why do so many of you view the threads on prayer but yet only a few answer for prayer online some people need to read those encouraging prayers. Are we ashamed to pray on line? The bible says" If you are ashamed of me I will be ashamed of you." Come let's be the Christians we say we are!!!!

I dont pray "on line" but I pray for those I "meet" on line if they have a request.... it has nothing to do about being ashamed. God is the one I am praying to and he is the only one that needs to hear me, since that is who I am praying to.

Some people like to Pray "online" to show off , makes them feel better, etc, but I am not one of them.

The Bible also says "Pray in secret not in public, because that is what the hypocrites do." I include many of my cyber-friends in my evening prayers which are directly between God and me. Let's be Christians, not criticizers!

was not meant to criticize, only that some people gain comfort from reading the words, just as we gain comfortfrom reading the bible. did not mean to offend anyone. If I did, I ask your forgiveness and I'm truly sorry.

I'm totally active in prayer, but I'm not going to do that online on a web page. Just makes me feel like I'm drawing attention to the act of prayer. That might be goofy, though, because I go to Mass and that's public. But if it makes people feel comforted, then I guess maybe I'll have to think about it.

When I asked for prayer a few months ago I was actually comforted more by the number of people who had taken the time to view my post and hopefully pray than by the number or those who said they would. Glass is half full theory I suppose (-:

WOW! I just realized this is a REALLY old thread. It makes me sad that there is so little activity on section.

The thread may be old, but there are prayers going up each hour of the day. They just don't get posted here!

My Church believes in each person having a personal relationship with Jesus. It is in that relationship that I pray. It is a very personal conversation.

I think such is the case for many.
