I only joined this group a little while ago, but I am hoping some prayers will be said for our foster babies mom. She was schedule for a c section on wednesday and did not show up for the surgery and the case worker has not been able to find her. The police have filed a missing persons report but have not located her either. Please pray for her and her baby that they would be found safe. I'm not sure if I can mention her name, but God knows. Thank you for asking, but no. As of Sunday there was no news. The caseworker comes today for her monthly visit so hopefully there will be some update. Its just very sad. Please continue to pray for this girl and her baby. I know she is scared but she doesn't have any resources to care for another person or even herself for that matter.

I just wanted to update those who so faithfully prayed for this baby and the situation. To make a long story short, the birthmom ended up in the hospital about 30 miles from where she was supposed to deliver about 10 days later. She had the baby by c-section on 7/7/07. We found out the man she has been living with and that took her on the run is a convicted murderer and is out on parole. Children and youth immediately took custody of the baby. I found out today they were planning on taking the baby from the hospital, but by God's grace she had to be taken to the NICU and started on antibiotics for a possible infection. After mom was discharged they discontinued the antibiotic. but baby had to stay in the hospital because of feeding issues. We took the baby home from the hospital on the 16th. She is healthy and beautiful. Mom and boyfriend are both stating they will do whatever they need to do to get her back, they have started parenting classes and mental health evaluations. The caseworker indicated she will never let the baby go home with mom while she lives with the boyfriend, who is not the babys father but was listed on the birth certificate as the father. As God leads you, please pray that baby will be safe, that whatever is His will, will come to pass. Through it all mom did agree to sign off on her rights to her twins that we are now in the process of adopting, PRAISE GOD! Now we just need to trust HIm for this little one. Thank you all again.
