Unhappy I feel a bit scared.

I am in the the home study process of our adoption. I feel so nervous about the whole thing. What if they don't like us....what if we are not good enough? We are trying to adopt a little black girl or maybe a sibling group through the government of Alberta. I was so worried about our Christian beliefs being a problem to the social worker. I know I should not worry because God is in control....but I just don't want to be turned down. Please I need encouragement and some prayers.

Remember that when you are a daughter of the King, God most High, then no weapon fashioned against you will ever prosper. Hold onto some life verses and begin to speak life and quench discouragement and fear.
Be encouraged to know the Lord has a plan for all of your lives that have been layed before the foundation of time, and we are here on an assigment to walk it out. Trust Him to see it through, pray Lord your will be done. He will give you the peace that passes your own understanding. Trust Him to see it through and ask Him to close and open the doors. If we believe, then we recieve.
Lord, I pray that you will give Sheri and her family peace and comfort during this time, may they sense your presence in a mighty and powerful way. Allow your compassion to come to them and see them through it all. We thank you Lord.

Just be yourself, that is the best advice I can give. YOu can't hide your real beliefs/feelings, and shouldn't have to. Be proud of your Christian beliefs. The rest will fall into place! I'll pray for you!
