Although I did not and still would not vote for Obama I hear the honest passion in the voices out here. He is not the man I would have chosen to lead me, but I can respect him as president of the country I dearly love.

I will wait, watch and wonder. I don't wish for the next 4 years to pass quickly as that would rush what is most precious... the moments with my family and no one is worth that wish. The next 4 years will be about me, my family and all the things we will continue to be, do and share. The man in the white house will do his job and I will do mine. I hope he does his as well.

Congratulations to those who are celebrating and big hugs to those of us who wanted for a different outcome. And from me personally thank you for the many honest and open disscussions.

I too cried tears of joy...our a-son is biracial and my dad says that now someday he could be a mini-Barack.

I wore my Obama shirt all day today along with my "I voted" sticker. I received mostly smiles and hellos all the places I went after I voted...

To the ones who wanted McCain...I'm sorry things didn't turn out the way you hoped and I do admire him for his dedication to our country and I feel he had a great campaign and would have made a good President, I just felt Obama was the better choice this time around.
