independant

we would love to adopt independantly and were wondering how you even get started - does anyone have contact names of facilitators/coordinators? what is the process - do you just get all your paperwork in and then go to Poland orphanages or is there some sort of process?

I was interested in independent adoption from Poland however I was not approved by Osrodek Adopcyjno Opiekunczy. That was two years ago. Since than I have successfuly completed independent Ukraine Adoption. You have to complete your dossier, translate and send it to Poland wait two weeks call them to find out if you have been approved. If approved wait two months call them. than wait than call again, than wait. If you don;t call them you are dead in the water. They will never call you. They will refer you a child. DO NOT and I reapeat DO nOT go to an orphaange and ask Osrodek if you can adopt this child. You will get into more trouble. I can walk you through to aubmission of documents if you need to. If you need a translator I will find you one and an orphanage will direct you as to whats next.
Usually when you receive a referal you go to Poland to meet the child. Meet them and decide if you are able to parent them. Than you go to court. Than you wait about 3 weeks but need to be in Poland (bonding process required) . You do not need to stay in the city. you can take your child for a holiday to the sea side or something. Than get your adoption decree an orphanage will help you get other things needed if you ask them to. Be sure you are real nice to the director of an orphanage and they will help you complete. At many orphanages you can stay there. They might have a room for you. If not than you will find a place just need to ask and offer payment.
And that might be an inexpensive adoption. If you are open to older children let me know and I ask someone to hint the POAO director to propose one of their kids.
The director of National Adoption center is:

Publiczny Osrodek Adopcyjno-Opiekunczy(POAO)

need questions answer please

I am getting married soon and planning on adopting by next summer or around that....
Iam 42 he is 41
We are looking to adopt 3 children 5 yrs and under
We have look into Ukraine but they change their laws or least using the old law..That you have to adopt siblings or just one child no unrelated children adoption...
We have no debts.. house and car is paid off no credit cards in debt... we have just normal reg bills each month....
So we are seeing about Poland to adopting our children....
We both have Polish background he more then me tho....
Do they allow disablity to adopt in Poland?.... he hurt is back twice once in the miltary then again at work he was pin between two cranes he was working on...
I know we can pass a homestudy and I know Ukraine will allow this also...
I havent found anywhere if Poland would or how we can do this independent with some help....
Thank you in advance
Willdeanna (willie)

Hello
I don't know how they will treat your husband's dissability/injury, you have to apply and find out. Each dossier is looked at individually and board members assess it.
All papers are same as for Ukraine except for letter of obigation and you just need a generic letter from your doctor stating you are healthy to parent a child.
