Home from initial trip
Hi all! We are back from our initial trip to Poland where we met our daughter! We are in love!
Our first meeting went well and then we had three great days with her. We were able to see her for 2-3 hours each morning and 2-3 hours again each afternoon. Every moment was precious. It was SO difficult to leave without her. We await a court date now. We think we may be able to go back in 1-2 months. Fortunately we are under the old regulations and apparently that is taking a little less time to process to appropriate paperwork. The sooner the better! There is a little more detail on my blog for anyone interested.

Welcome back
Welcome back! Glad to hear everything went smoothly. It was really hard to leave wasn't it?
My DH said he missed her already on the plane back. Now I guess we just wait.... Isn't the airlines pretty impressive with late luggage delivery? Nothing like late luggage delivery in the US. We had one late bag on KLM and they delivered it and gave us 75 euros each for our inconvenience. I was so floored by the good service I was speechless. We had a few transportation hiccups (train issues - no seats on a six hour train ride and I lost my shoe under the train-luckily DH was able to retrieve it), but we got some pictures of our experience and figure it will make a good story for her scrapbook. Plus, we now know that we will absolutely need seat reservations when we have kids with us. Let's hope for short turn-around times. Right now I'm praying for no swine flu delays, or vacation delays, or busy court delays, etc, etc. |
