adopting while living in poland

hi there, we are looking at adopting from poland, but we currently live here, although we are australian. i am trying to get in touch with anyone who might be in/have been in a similar situation to find out where to start! much of the information is targeted at americans and it doesn't always apply to us, but we would appreciate any assistance or advice anyone is able to provide.

pls pm me if you'd like to get in touch.

kindest regards

I don't have any advice for you, but welcome anyway! I would geuss that you would need to first make sure to find out the laws of your country, and what they require, even though you are not living there now, you need to satisfy thier laws if you ever want to bring the child home with you.

Thanks for the welcome!

Yes, you're quite right. So I'll be a bit more specific. Being Australian we don't have access to the agencies that Americans use. So, we will need to pursue an independent adoption without an agency. So, I guess I am looking for anyone who has gone down this path - perhaps a EU citizen? But I guess anyone that has experience with independent adoption would be useful.
thanks once again...
