Did your children have an HIV test while you were in Poland? We found out that our soon-to-be daughter was never tested for HIV or Hep B and Hep C, and we thought it important that she was tested (for various reasons).
So, our coordinator called the hospital today to get the results of the tests, and Hep B and C came back negative, but they said we had to see the doctor in person tomorrow to hear the results of the HIV test. You can imagine where my mind is going. We are just wondering if it's just standard procedure not to give HIV test results over the phone in Poland?? That's why I was asking if anyone had their child get a test while you were in Poland, and if so, did you also have to get the results in person. Also, I believe there is someone on here who lives in Poland that might know the answer about HIV and how they handle giving the results of tests. Thanks. We're nervous over here! |

I don't know, but that would be interesting to find out. We didn't have any reason to suspect it in my son's case as he had been in state care his entire life. I do know things are different, when my son was sick we went to the doctor and got prescriptions including one for something that is just like vicks vaporub, something like chlorseptic, and a decongestant and tylonol, all of those are prescription over there and not over the counter like here.
