Tuesday topic: Parening liscenses?
We all know what we had to go through to be approved to be adoptive parents. Should biological parents have to go through something similar?

Given some of the parents of my students, some absolutely need parenting skills! Just had one 5th grader today give a letter to us explaining how horrible he is - obvious that the parent made him write that. He's actually likeable and not really bad, but doesn't stand much of a chance in life if his mother doesn't get parenting help now.
All parents should be offered parenting classes, but I think that those who need it the most would be the least likely to take the classes.
