Anyone from Illinois adopting from Poland?

I wonder if there is anyone from Illinois right now who is dealing with the immigration issues. I have been waiting for almost a month now for a letter to be fingerprinted again. Is it a normal waiting time now? Last year I got the letter in a week. Ufff!

Sorry to hear that! Yusen who used to post a lot here is from IL but she has not posted for a while, and she already adopted. However, maybe you can go to the general support part of the forum and post this question?

This is the first forum I have ever tried, so I am not certain how to move around. To be honest, Kama, I don't know how to make the post you suggested. How can I do that?

Under International Adoption, the first group is General International Adoption, then go down to Immigration and Naturalization. In your title, post the city of the USCIS office you used and hopefully someone will respond who has recently used that office.

I'm not in IL, but it did take us approximately 4-5 weeks to get our USCIS fingerprinting appointments in Minnesota. We were finally fingerprinted at the end of September and are waiting for the documentation now.

When we were first fingerprinted (about 16 months ago ), it was MUCH faster. Perhaps it is not just a local problem....

Good luck!
