Dress code advice

Hello Everyone!

I'm not sure if this has been asked before...but what is the dress code for going to the adoption center, for going to the orphanage, and for going to court?

I am guessing business casual, but thought I'd ask.

Thanks in advance,
Andrea

No formal suit required! No jeans, but dress casual should be fine, trousers and a sports jacket for a man, and skirt/pants and a shirt/sweater for a woman.

We wore suit and tie and a nice conservative dress to court. Otherwise it was Soccer mom and dad wear. We were very active with the kids and were on the floor and or ground a lot.

Ditto - play clothes for visits with the kids, dress/ sport jacket and tie for court. I didn't wear jeans at all in Poland (I find them too bulky to pack) - just easy travel dresses and pants. But I did see plenty of people out and about in jeans in Warsaw.

We wore casual clothes to the first meeting at the orphanage and jeans all other days (I'm a jeans person). The Polish women were much better dressed, and more stylish than most American and German women.

I wore a dress with a matching jacket for court, but since my husband doesn't own a suit, he just wore a vest and nice pants. He panicked and tried to find a sport jacket the morning before court, but didn't see anything that would go with his plain black pants. The judge/jurors/our attorney all wore robes. The male legal guardian wore corduroy pants and a usual button up shirt, and the female guardian had on white jeans and usual sweater. My husband felt better knowing he at least was dressed better than they were.
