Mike Rozumalski's movie about adoption website!
Hello Friends,
Thanks to Jessi's blog (thanks, Jessi), I learned about Mike's adoption movie website. It is so cool and even has clips of getting the referral, etc. Check it out, it is really exciting. I hope to order it when it comes out. I promise, I am not working on Mike's publicity :-). Congratulations, Mike R! |

Thank you! We are very excited about the film. My wife and I hope to enlighten people about the emotional side of building a family through adoption. We are currently preparing for the premiere in Milwaukee and I am impatiently waiting for the DVD release on May 30th.
Everyone on these boards knows the toll an adoption can take on you emotionally, this is just one story. I salute you all for deciding to take this wonderful journey to finding YOUR child or children. I hope you enjoy the movie when it is released. As a filmmaker, it was really odd to be the subject of my own project, but we thought it was subject matter worth being shared. I hope you all agree. |

Chris H of Milwaukee told me he saw the film and thought it is excellent... He suggested I order it, but I guess it is not available yet to order, right?

Mike: I was so excited to be made aware of the film's new website that I posted your website on the general intl adoption and also on the Russian board. I think the film has general appeal from what I have read and heard about it... and yes, it must be strange for you but I think you did a wonderful thing (both adopting and filming the process).

Thanks Kama, there were a few promotional screenings in Milwaukee and it was well received. The greatest compliment we got was from a couple who wasn't sure if they were prepared for the emotional drain of an adoption, but after seeing the film they have decided to begin the process after 2 years of hesitation.
Also, thank you for posting in the general forum, that was very nice of you! Sorry, the film is not available yet, but May 30th will be here soon! I can remind the board when the DVD is released if you wish. Additionally, my wife and I are doing some travelling to show the film at adoption agency screenings. We are not actively pursuing agencies to show the film, (because we don't want to spend any time away from our daughter!), but if anyone wishes to talk to their adoption agency about organizing a screening, we might be able to do it. We just think this film can help future adoptive families and we love sharing our story. |

Great, thank you. A reminder about the DVD release would be great! My husband and I will be in Poland at that time (just for a visit and not about a referral, but we hope to visit a few orphanages and the adoption ctr in Warsaw).
Thanks for visiting the board. How is your daughter doing? How is everyone doing?... |

That is wonderful to hear! I look forward to seeing the story once the DVD is available. I have heard from others here that they plan to order as well!
If you visit here again... I saw on your website there was a picture of your dog and Amy and Ally... How did you introduce Ally to your dog?... Was Ally scared at first? I know children get to like pets but may be scared at first. A few of us have dogs and we have shared some worries before. We have a German shepherd and a boxer - both sweet but pretty big dogs. If anyone else has experience with this, please respond as well! Thank you. :-) Quote:

Ally took to our dog right away. We made sure we had her on our laps at first in case he would jump up, but he is a pretty gentle dog, so he has always tended to be more careful when he knows Ally is in the room. We just watched them both very closely at first. Ally's first reaction to the dog was to try to give him a kiss and a hug.

Folks, I know the film is informational - but because the site offers it for sale, even pre-sale, the URL violates our rules on retail websites and solicitation.
Mike, if you're interested in offering your DVD on Adoptionshop.com, let me know!
