My husband and I are interested in adoption from Poland and would like a few questions answerd.

We are both Canadian citizens living in Canada, but I am also Polish. Most of the infromation I read on this forum is for US citizens.

Did anyone of you adopted from Poland to Canada?

We had our home study done almost 2 years ago and applied for adoption in BC, but no luck so far. Our adoption agency gave us a name of a person in Canada that deals with Polish adoptions, but I would like to talk to few of them. Does anyone of you know any agencies/persons that deal with Polish adoption in Canada? Can I deal with any of US agencies?


Is there a maximum age difference between child and parents? For example my husband is 46 years old and I will be 41 soon. What is the youngest child we will be able to adopt? If we adopt a sibling group is the age difference from the oldest or the youngest child in the group?

I am a Polish citizen born and raised in Poland, but now living in Canada and my husband is a Canadian citizen. How would my Polish citizenship help us in the adoption process?

We do not understand how many trips to Poland are required. Is there two trips and do we both have to be there on each trip? How long each trip last?

During these visits, would we be allowed to travel with the child to another part of Poland?

How long is the wait and what are our chances of adopting a healthy baby/infant either sex?

What is the cost of adopting one child or a sibling group?
