Smile What agencies?

We have adopted from Russia , but our agency does not do Poland. What agencies offer adoption from Poland and how is the cost? What is the youngest child available and how long is the wait? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The wait times for Poland have been increasing over the past year. Single children under six are the most difficult to adopt and will take the longest ... 1 - 1 1/2 years after the paperwork arrives in Poland.

People interested in adopting older sibling groups (over six) or sibling groups of 3 or more will have less waiting.

I believe the costs are comparable to Russia.

You make two trips to Poland, the first is for about 2-3 weeks, the second is about 4-7 days. Some families experiences had them staying in Poland even longer.

Something to keep in mind... Only about 100 children a year are brought into the US from Poland. It is been this way for years, check the US State Departments International adoption records on line.

There is a higher demand within Poland to adopt, and Polish Nationals get priority over all international candidates.

I have no agencies to recommend. If you do a search on Polish
Adoption on any internet search engine, you will see who can work with Poland.

I don't know if this is true for everyone, but I have been hearing that one parent must stay with the children in Poland between the two trips. Might be worth checking out. It probably varies from place to place in Poland.
