Subsidy In Pennsylvania

Hello All,

I feel so weird even asking about this but I am interested in adopting a special needs little boy that is from Pennsylvania and I know that without a subsidy, I would not be able to properly care for him, however I have been looking for information about the subsidies in Pennsylvania and have been coming up empty handed. If anyone can give me a heads up about what to expect I would appreciate it.

Thank you and have a blessed day.

Hi 7brats,

I was trying to figure out roughly how much the subsidy would be. Also, if you know, how is pennsylvania about placing children out of state, I am in TX. What sorts of therapy does the Pennsylvania medicaid cover, I have looked into every therapy imaginable, like water, horses, speech, physical, occupational, etc. How often do the physical and occupational therapists work with the children? Any other information you think I will need to know would be wonderful. Thank you in advance for all your help and wisdom.

I have found the subsidy in Pennsylvania to be very easy to get. As stated, I have 4 adopted children and they all get subsidy, all different amounts based on the circumstances.

They will come medical as well and it covers a lot so if I were you I would accept it and find out what all the cover. I will say,I do not pay for prescriptions, glasses or regular doctor visits.

Hope that helps,
Carrie
