Hi Philly 'burb friends,

After almost 16 months to the day we had our homestudy done, we got home yesterday with our new baby girl, our second through open adoption.

We had been signed up with an adoption referral agent (PM me for details) and we would receive emails about potential situations. We asked to be presented, and our baby girl's birthmom chose us. Then we hooked up with the agency - and they were amazing to work with. Our first DD was a private adoption, so this was a totally different experience for us, but for the better.

She was induced the day after we met in person, and both DH and I were in the delivery room when she was born, and I even got to cut the cord. It was (and continues to be) an amazing experience.

OMG Stephanie, congrats on your newest little addition!!! That is wonderful...I'm very happy for you! That is so great that you were able to be there for the birth...on the other philly suburb thread, I don't think you indicated how very close you were to bringing your baby home! I'm going to pm you...
