Question Looking for adoption agency recommendations

Hello,
My husband and I live in Hershey, PA and are looking for an adoption agency. Friends in Delaware had a terrible time with their agency and we are hoping to find one based on recommendations from people who have already successfully adopted. Please share with us your happy stories and who helped you get there. Thank you so much!

Kimberly

Hi Kim,
I am a single parent who tried to adopt but gave up after the birth mothers continously changed their minds. A friend of mine suggested that if I wanted a baby to adopt an embry (same thing as a baby to me). I was able to adopt embryos and carry them. It was wonderful to expereince pregnancy, birth and have my name of my daughters birth certificate. I was matched with an agency (I paid less than 15,000 for everything, including legal, IVF etc.......and my insurance covered my pregnancy) The entire process took maybe 9-12 months and was very excitting! Now, I am unable to carry and looking for suggestions, researched surrogacy and adoption. With surrogacy it costs 52,750 for everything and I am gaurenteed a baby, with adoption I read one agency wanted 10,000 just for the agency fee wow!!!!
So I am confussed now trying to decide which direction to turn to...

Good luck!!!

I live in Hummelstown, welcome to the forums. I am with an agency in Mechanicsburg but I am not very happy with them right now. I have been 7 months with no placement and to me they are a little slow getting back to me when I have questions.Others on here have had a lot of sucess with my agency so I don't know.

The agency we used is in Troy, Pa and the Program Director is easy to work with. we adopted embryos/babies and I got to carry them to term.

It is still new and many have not heard of it.
It was wonderful! Saved us money and honestly, we think it is better than waiting on a list to be picked for adoption. If you are interested in adopting embryos call them at 570-529-4139. They work worldwide so it wont matter where you live. I can't remember where I ran across embryo adoption but i think once other couples see how much easier it is it is going to be popular!!
