I'm hoping that somebody on this bulletin board will know what the current special needs foster care rates are in Philadelphia County. We are adopting a little girl who has significant special needs, through a private agency in Philadelphia, and we have just won our appeal of an initial denial of adoption subsidy. Now it appears that the county will have to negotiate a subsidy rate with us, but won't tell us what the foster care rate is in the county. Can anybody help? Thanks.

We are foster parents in Pa. and our agency also deals with Philadelphia County. If we receive a child from Philadelphia County, we would receive per day:
first sibling $20.50, second sibling $15.50, and third sibling is $13.50. If the child is medically needy, for level 1 per day is $23.00, level 2 child is $25.50, and level 3 child is $38.00.
